For those who have not heard yet our beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley has passed
away tonight. For the majority of those who read this blog the news of his death is a
definite shock as he has been our Prophet ever since we were youth in the Church.
We will all miss his love, spirit, testimony, and especially his humor. We loved him with
all our hearts, and we know that he his with our Father in Heaven, and we rejoice in
his testimony which he put to song in the following hymn:
I know that my Redeemer lives,
Triumphant Savior, Son of God,
Victorious over pain and death,
My King, my Leader, and my Lord.
He lives, my one sure rock of faith,
The one bright hope of men on earth,
The beacon to a better way,
The light beyond the veil of death.
Oh, give me thy sweet Spirit still,
The peace that comes alone from thee,
The faith to walk the lonely road
That leads to thine eternity.
Triumphant Savior, Son of God,
Victorious over pain and death,
My King, my Leader, and my Lord.
He lives, my one sure rock of faith,
The one bright hope of men on earth,
The beacon to a better way,
The light beyond the veil of death.
Oh, give me thy sweet Spirit still,
The peace that comes alone from thee,
The faith to walk the lonely road
That leads to thine eternity.

What a neat post about President Hinckley! Just letting you know we started a blog: tysonandkristine.blogspot.com. (I found your blog on Erin's.) It has been quite awhile since I have seen you! Glad to hear that things are going well for you!
