TIME OUT FOR WOMEN!!!

I went with both of my Moms to Time Out For Women Friday night and all day Saturday.
We had such a great time and everything was so awesome!  If any of you have not gone
to a Time Out for Women I would really recommend that you go. If you need someone to
go with I would be more then happy to go with you!!!  Friday night I forgot I had my
camera, so I was not able to get any pictures with Sheri Dew, Wendy Watson Nelson,
and Jenny Oaks Baker!

I wasn't sure what to think about Time Out I have gone for 2 years now, but  ago
but I don't really remember the last two I went to.  I have never heard
about some of the speakers and musical performers,  but after Friday night I was so
excited for Saturday to come.  I am just going to share with you some thoughts
about my weekend at TIME OUT!!!

On Friday night the musical performers were Mercy River and Jenny Oaks Baker,
and the Presenters were Wendy Watson Nelson and Sheri Dew.  I love Music,
and I love to sing so it was great when Mercy River had us do some sing-a-longs with them.
Mercy River and Jenny Oaks Baker did a wonderful job having fun and
bringing the spirit. Wendy Nelson gave a wonderful presentation about the power of
a question. Then, it was so fun to listen to Sheri Dew give her presentation on
our influence and how important it is,  not just with our children but
with our callings,  jobs,  family,  husbands and just in life. What a
wonderful night to kick off a great Weekend!

Emily Watts and me.

She was the first presenter on Saturday she was so much
fun she is one funny lady.  Her presentation was on how to be joyful
even if its all your fault. She made it fun and also very spiritual.

S. Michael Wilcox and Me

His presentation was on Accents of Wonder.  What a smart man.
He did a wonderful job.

Me and Kenneth Cope

Oh how I Love his music!  It is so beautiful and he had
wonderful things to say about us Women.  He is amazing!!!

Mercy River and me.

They are a new Group and they sound so
good together.  I got there CD it is there first one
and just came in on time for TIME OUT!!!

Me and Chris Stewart

His presentation was on Redefining joy.  He talked
about what are purpose is here on earth, why
it is important to have joy in our lives, and  don't
let our emotions control or define us.

Jason Wright and me

The power of the written word...

His presentation was on how in important hand written letters
are to us and others.  It made me think a lot about me and my life
I love the computer and how I can spell check and go back and fix things.
Well, I changed my scrapbook journaling from hand written to typing
it up on the computer,  so I could spell check and have Ryan help me edit.
A couple months ago I had some friends help me change my mind, so I went
back to hand writing in my scrapbook,  and now after listening to Jason
yesterday I am so excited I am going to back to hand writing in my scrapbook.

Me and Sharon G. Larsen.  Sharon was are last presenter for the day.
She talked about letting happiness sneak up on you.  The 4 steps to
being Happy are:

#1 Forgiveness and not just others you need to forgive your self first.
#2 Trust in the Lord the lord knows what will make you happy.
#3 Let go of competition Make more room in our hearts and if you
just be friends you will have joy.
#4 Keep your covenants Baptism and Temple, keep the Sabbath
  day Holy 100%.

" If you are doing what the Lord wants then you will have Joy."

" In the Lord Our Joy is FULL."

I just want to thank my moms for taking me to Time Out.
I loved it and I can't wait to go next time!  I love them with
all my heart.  I want to thank Ryan for letting me go even though
it has been crazy because it was just what I needed.  I am sure Ryan
enjoyed it though because he was able to get his homework done.
I love you Ryan!!  I love my Savior so much and my testimony has
grown in so many ways.  Thank YOU!!!

Time Out looks really neat, and it's fun that you got pictures with all those people! I am going to Women's Conference at BYU in May. Thanks for your comment, and yes it's in IF past Reed's Dairy. Are you in a house? I think I remember seeing you outside of one like a year ago, kind of by the temple? Anyway, we should hang out some time!

Heather, it was so fun to see your blog. I got the link off of Kristine's page. I have to thank you for what you wrote about "Time Out for Women." It was just what I needed to read tonight. I loved reading about your experiences and how much you love Ryan. You are such a great woman! Thanks for sharing your testimony. Your blog also encouraged me to write hand written letters and to write in my jounal instead of always on the computer. As I was reading your blog I could not help but think, "Can you believe how far we have all come since high school?" You would have guessed we would be where we are right now? Thanks again Heather!
