Tennessee

Last week my Aunt Kandie was in Nashville for a singing competition with the Sweet Adelines (Her chorus group took 2nd on the international level). Since Nashville is so close to us, Ryan and I decided to fly up to spend the day with my aunt. We ended up walking around downtown Nashville and had fun looking at all the country music paraphernalia. The highlight of our short trip was visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed the museum and had good time learning about the history of country music. We definitely came out of the museum with more knowledge than when we entered, however, I am not too sure how useful it will be in the future. I am glad it worked out to where I could see my aunt and do a little site seeing at the same time. It was refreshing to see a close family member because living out in the east makes it difficult to come across a part of the family that lives almost entirely in Idaho. If anyone else, family or friend, comes out this way make sure to let us know because we would love to spend some time with ya!

one thing jake and i regret is not visiting new york/new jersey when we lived in Virginia. although those places are still fairly far away from Viriginia, we were closer than we will ever be again!

it's hard to be away from family. i'm glad you were able to see your aunt. a little piece of home!
