For the past few months I have been looking for a good sewing desk because recently I have started to use my sewing machine a lot more. I have been torn on what type of desk to get because Janome, the brand of my sewing machine, sells a table that is compatible with my sewing machine, but it is like $250. Well, a while back I had the idea to buy an antique desk that I could use for both sewing and my other craft projects. When I got home from my short trip from Idaho I called Ryan at work and he said, "Now don't be mad cause the house is not picked up all the way and some stuff isn't where it usually is." Well, I didn't think of anything until I walked in and immediately noticed that our TV was in the front room, not in our second bedroom. So, I went into the TV was before and I see this....

It needs a little TLC, like drawer handles and paint, but I am so exited to fix it up. Ryan even undertook the task of organizing all of my craft belongings. Later Ryan admitted how much time it took him. Apparently, he didn't realize the Everest that he was about to climb when he started to organize all of my stuff. Thanks honey buns you are the best.
Now, not only was it much less expensive than the Janome table, but it also has a lot more space and not to mention some character too. As the title says this is my birthday present for this year even though my birthday is still almost four months away. I guess Ryan just wasn't sure if he would be able to surprise me again, so he jumped on the opportunity.
