Seattle

The first week in August, Ryan went out to Seattle for training.  On Thursday, the day before he finished I went out to meet up with him. This was our second time being in Seattle as our first time was for our honeymoon, which we spent on Victoria Island, and never really had time to experience Seattle.  This time it was great to actually see this beautiful city.

When Ry finished with training on Friday afternoon we went downtown to the fish market, walked around the pier and environs.  Then, when it came time to eat dinner Ryan asked if we could eat at a seafood restaurant.  Now, I don't like seafood, and Ryan rarely eats it as a result but we ended up picking out the Crabs Pot, and Ryan ordered the Salmon while I enjoyed my chicken.

After dinner we went to visit with some friends, Mike and Denise, from BYU-Idaho that we haven't seen since graduation in 2008.  I forgot to snap a few pictures during our visit, but it was great to see and visit with them.  They had their 3rd baby a few weeks after seeing them, congratulations!

Saturday morning before our flight out, we went to go to the Seattle Temple, which happened to be closed for two weeks.  This always seems to happen to us when we travel and try to visit a Temple, just bad timing I guess.  Anyway, we went back to our hotel to pack, and then we returned home to Atlanta.  It is always nice to come home.

Fun vacation! Seattle is fun. Dave and I went there when we were engaged (his brother and sister-in-law lived there at the time). It was so fun to go to Pikes Market and see the guys throwing the fish like you see in the movies. Glad you could join him at the end of his training and had the chance to have a good time together!
