Crafting

My friend was making a magnet board/calender, and she inspired me to make something similar.
I bought the frame from Goodwill for $3.00 and the metal from Home Depot.  The metal actually was more expensive than I though it would be, but still worth it. I loved how it turned out!

Ryan surprised me with an antique craft/sewing desk two years ago.  I finished sanding, painting, and installing knobs (this is an interesting story in and of itself) on the desk drawers last fall, but I still needed a chair.

One day Ryan and I were browsing a local antique store and we came across the perfect chair for $15.00, and by pure happenstance we found it at the same antique store Ryan bought the desk.  Fate!

I wanted to add some color to the area so I decided to pant the chair yellow.  I am still trying to find the right fabric to make a cushion for my chair, all in good time.  Any ideas?

CUTE!!! I love it!

As far as mother's day goes, you are one of the most wonderful women I know. You may not be blessed with children of your own yet, but you touch the lives of so many children in countless ways. I love you and your example to all of us.
