National Sports Collectors Convention

At the beginning of August Ryan's Dad came into town for the weekend to go to the National Sports Collectors Convention in Baltimore.  The day he flew in we went to the Georgia Aquarium and enjoyed our time walking through its exhibits, including the new dolphin show.  Afterwards, we ate dinner at R. Thomas Deluxe Grill which has the appearance of a cafe from the Georgia backwoods, but is actually located in midtown Atlanta and serves a very strong menu.

The next morning we took the first flight to Baltimore, rode the train into town, and spent the day at the convention.  We had a great time walking around and checking out all the booths. We couldn't believe how many venders were there.  After several hours of failure to find the cards Ryan wanted to pick up, he ended up buying a Rickey Henderson rookie card that I found all by myself.  I was proud to find a card that Ryan wanted.

After the Convention we went to the nearby Pickles Pub for lunch and ate some yummy food including fried pickles.   On our way back to the airport we took some time to walk around Camden Park, the Orioles baseball stadium.

Thanks for visiting Dad! We had a wonderful time in the few days we had together!
