North Carolina

Ryan's Mom and sister, Jessica, came to Atlanta on Thursday May 14. We had flown into town just that morning from Hawaii at 5:30 am, and Ryan went from the airport to work while I went home and started cleaning, doing laundry, running errands, and cooking dinner ready. Well, needless to say, I finished everything I wanted except I didn't think about taking any pictures because we were all had a long day and wanted to hit the sack (We all slept like babies).

The next morning, all of us except Ryan drove to Charlotte, North Carolina to stay the weekend with the Blake family (Ryan's cousins). Ryan was able to take Saturday off, so Friday after work he flew out to meet us in Charlotte. When we got there Parker was gearing up for a baseball game and during the game it some horrendous monsoon beat upon us. That morning I had straightened my hair, but so much for trying to look cute. Then, after the game Ryan meet up with us at Brooklyn Pizza for dinner and it was so yummy. After dinner, we went back to the Blake's house and visited until 12:30 am rolled around we thought it would be a good idea to call it a night.

Saturday morning Racquel, Ryan, and I ran around their neighborhood (3 miles in 35 minutes). A little later we ate breakfast and got ready to go to another one of Parker's baseball games.
and oddly enough it rained again at the game, but this time we were prepared with a big umbrella. The rain was so crazy that the umbrella didn't really function all too well. We all we got soaked and Parker's team was starting to come from behind when the game was called early because of the rain.

After the game we got back to the house and put on some dry clothes. We ate lunch and hung out until the rain stopped, and just before dinner we went and did some shopping. The Blake's made us a great dinner on Saturday, in fact, they fed us several great meals. So good, that I stole a few of their secret family recipes to make at home. After dinner we played a few games of Spoons because it is one of the Ryan's family's favorites. Then, after sending the younger ones to bed we stayed up to visit for a few more hours.

On Sunday we went to sacrament with the Blakes, and then left so we would get back to Atlanta at a reasonable time. Thank you very much to the Blake family for a wonderful weekend. We had a great time and can't wait to visit you again, especially now that we are so close to you.
