We left Amsterdam early in the morning and then took the train down to Brussels, Belgium. We only planned a day in Brussels because after talking with friends and reading our tour book it seemed as though there wasn't much to see. They were right. Brussels had a few good sights such as The Grand Place and St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral, but beyond these two locales there wasn't anything noteworthy or interesting to us. The compact buildings, cobbled streets, and fountains were fun to experience, but nothing like we have experienced in Amsterdam or Rome. We did our research before our trip and found a great Belgium restaurant called Houtsiplou. The food was great and on the way out of the city we bought several types of chocolates, and then ate almost all of them promptly.
Wow! The buildings and cobbled roads are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing your photos. You guys look like you had a blast! I'd love to see more pictures!
