Ryan's cousin was married in the Salt Lake City Temple on May
5th, and we were happy to be able to attend the sealing. We flew into SLC on Friday and immediately drove over to visit with Caleb and Criscell Roberts. It was so great to reminiscence with them and catch up with one another. I could tell that Ryan misses being around some of his good friends from the old days, and I hope that in the future the stars will align and we will be geographically closer to them.
Anyway, after visiting with The Roberts we went to my
brother's house to make camp for the weekend. Our first night with them we played games and watched
a movie. What else could you ask for?

Usually it takes Kamdon and Kyler a while to warm up to us, but this trip they didn't waste any time which was good considering we were only there for a couple of days. As you can see by the pictures Heath and the kids had fun playing with Ryan's enormous shoes. Some things never get old.
On Saturday morning we went to the wedding, which was very
exciting and solemn at the same time. We are so happy for Rick and Holly, and look forward to observing how their lives will evolve together.
After taking pictures at the temple we walked around the Conference Center, Temple Square, and the new
mall that was recently completed called City Creek. Around lunch time we went
back to my brother's house, and while Ryan watched the kids the girls
went shopping. Sounds typical, right?
Later in the evening we went to the wedding reception in Provo where it was great to see more family from Idaho and Utah that we don't see as frequently as we once did before moving out to Georgia. It was fun swapping stories with them. I wish we could visit with them more often.
On the way back to my brother's house we made a quick stop at the Johnson's to see their home and meet some of the horses Kristin helps care for. Ryan had to touch all the horses, and I never realized how much he enjoys horses. Maybe we will have to plan something involving a horse in the near future.
We made it back to my brother's house and then went to sleep soon afterwards. We left very early in the morning the next day to catch a flight back into Atlanta so that Ryan could be ready for work on Monday. We had a wonderful time despite the short duration of the trip, and can't wait to return for another visit!
